FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What is the difference between gold fill and gold plated?

Gold-filled an actual layer of gold pressure-bonded to another metal. Gold-filled is not to be confused with gold plating, as gold-filled literally has 100% more gold than gold plating. Gold-filled is much more valuable and tarnish resistant. It does not flake off, rub off or turn colors. As a matter of fact, anyone who can wear gold can wear gold-filled without worries of any allergic reaction to the jewelry. Gold-filled jewelry is an economical alternative to solid gold.

3. What engraving options do I have?

On any of our customizable jewelry pieces you have three engraving options: round, interlocking script, and roman.

4. What's the best way to take care of my Hamilton Grace jewelry?

Hamilton Grace jewelry is handcrafted and requires delicate handling. Please adjust double wraps gently and avoid yanking or tugging on any of our necklaces.  Gold-plated items and other metals can tarnish over time when exposed to perfumes, lotions, or hairspray.  Please avoid direct contact with these products.  We recommend avoiding moisture and should your jewelry get wet, dry it off immediately. If the brass or sterling pieces tarnish you can use a polishing cloth to return the luster. The gold-filled pieces can be worn freely as you would wear solid gold without concern for tarnishing.
